High School Girls Division - Day 3 Report - July 1st

Gold Division:
Round 1:
Game 1: TLC 10, PA Express 7
In the crisp morning air, TLC and PA Express played a high spirited game. Close throughout the game there was wild momentous changes as each team battled back and forth. In the end, 7th seeded TLC upset 3rd seeded PA Express 10-7.

Game 2: Heros 14, CTLF 5
The game started out close but the Heros were able to compose themselves and save the game. They scored nine goals in the first half and five in the second. CTLF hung in there with the help of their goalie, who turned out to be the hero of her team with 11 saves.

Game 3: M&D 11, Houston 4
Houston Heat came out fighting, but could not combat the precise passing and catching of M&D Lax. From the tight aggressive defense to the stellar settled offense, M&D never let up. Houston made several spectacular plays to put them on the board with two goals per half, but in the end it was not their morning for a victory.

Game 4: Colorado 1 12, Puget Sound 11
Colorado 1 goalie Lauren Wells had an amazing 11 saves. Colorado 1 came out on top for the first half of the game with a score of 6-4. But Puget Sound came back. With two minutes left, Lauren Johnson of Colorado 1 scored her 3rd goal to the tie the game. Off the next draw Colorado took the ball down and settled the ball. Alyssa Vigil scored the winning goal with only a few seconds left in the game.

Semi-Finals
Game 7: Heros 9, TLC 5
Heros had what it took to save the day again. TLC had some very nicely placed shots to hang with them during the first half, but in the second half the Heros stepped up their flawless offense, and continued to outscore TLC’s attack. In the end even with the game being called early due to lightening, TLC could not defeat the Heros.

Game 8: M&D 10, Colorado 1 6
Colorado had a good first half scoring first. Colorado took the lead and kept it through half time, leading 4-3. M&D scored early in the first half to tie the game. After trading goals M&D took control with a spread offense and scored the next four goals to end the game at 10-6. With the win M&D heads to the championship game.

Consolation Round:
Game 5: CTLF 1, PA Express 0
Due as a result of an administrative error, CTLF advanced.

Game 6: Puget Sound 9, Houston Heat 7
Puget Sound took the early lead but the heat would not give up. The game was very tight all the way to the end with Puget Sound winning by 2, with a final score of 9-7. Houston ran out of steam and the game ended just before the long lightening delay.

Game 2: Team Capital 14, Triple Threat 1
Game 3: Queen City 7, Bay Area 5
Game 4: Lady Blue 12, Utah 6

Game 7: Team Capital 7, MFL Fusion 6
Game 8: Lady Blue Knights 8, Queen City 5
