Day 2 Pool Play:
Games on Athletic Field in Vail
Breakaway - 6, Detroit - 5
After the first night in Vail and an earlier morning game, both teams came out and played a tough,
competitive game. Breakaway held an early lead, but Detroit persisted and tied the game. In the
closing minutes, Breakaway scored, then held on to the ball for the victory. Megan Shea and Margaret
Raines continue to lead Breakaway with 2 goals apiece.
CU Buffs - 4, ReLAXers - 16
ReLAXers have stepped up to be the team to beat. With their torrid scoring pace, they are now
the marked team. Leading the high scoring offense are Colleen Dalon with 3 goals and 2 assists
and Laurice Rutledge with 3 goals.
Team Pazzo's - 5, Team Ohio - 12
Team Ohio led from start to finish. Pazzo's had some streaks but Ohio kept them in check. Leading
Team Ohio was Bri Shadel with 2 goals and 3 assists.
Games on Edwards Field
Team Pazzo's - 3, Fubar - 10
Having split their two previous games, Fubar wanted a victory and took the early lead and never
looked back. Leading the effort was Fubar's Kristin Harvey with 4 goals and 1 assist.
Team Wild - 9, Rammit - 7
In an aggressive yet competitive game, Team Wild used good ball control at the end of the game
to score a goal with 30 seconds remaining a preserve a victory. A trio of players led each team.
For Team Wild Betsy Wheeler, Char Glessner, and Caitlin McCormick each had two goals. For Rammit,
Lindsey Brown, Kayna Wentworth, and Kate Sebesta each had two goals.
Chicago - 4, 20-Somethin' - 16
In the final game of pool play, 20-Somthin' took the win for second place in their pool leaving
Chicago 4th. Both teams move on to bracket play with Chicago playing on Saturday afternoon and
20-Somethin' playing on Sunday morning. Leading 20-Somethin' with 3 goals each were Alexis Corbett
and Cassie Abel.

Game 1 Team Wild - 15, Team Pazzo's - 4
Team Wild had a strong offense to beat the local Team Pazzo's. Leading Team Wild was Meg Bonney
with 3 goals while four of her teammates had 2 goals each. Women's tournament director and goalie
Michelle Secor had 9 saves for Team Pazzo's.
Game 2 Chicago - 1, Rammit - 17
On the road to the Championship, Rammit took the first step in this lopsided game. Rammit's Lindsay
Brown had 4 goals and an assist. Chicago goalie Sue Kwan had 14 saves.
Game 3 Team Ohio - 7, Detroit 10
In a challenging game Detroit pulled out a victory over Midwestern Team Ohio. Detroit moves on
to the next step. Leading Detroit in scoring was Casey Scavone and Katie Popovich with 3 goals
each. Ohio goalie Nicole Homer had 9 saves.
