Colorado Mammoth

#5 - Mammoth

Coach: Gary Gait, Jay Jalbert and Nick Carlson

Key Players: Del Halladay (Loyola, '95), Gavin Prout (Loyola, '01), D Dave Stilley (Duke, '97), Geoff Bieging (Denver, '00)

Capsule: After another run to the semifinals in the NLL, the Mammoth hope to bring some of their indoor success outdoors to the Shootout. The team will be mostly of Canadian descent, and with the exception of a few, have not played a whole lot of outdoor lacrosse. NLL All-Stars and former Loyola Greyhounds Del Halladay and Gavin Prout lead the charge for the Mammoth. Expect this team to be hard hitting, have excellent stickwork and be tough as nails. One question mark for the squad could be depth and long pole play, but this is a team that could easily surprise a few people on their way through the bracket. We can only hope they bring the same type of fan support they have received at the Pepsi Center. 18,000 at Ford Field? It could happen!
