Women's Elite Pool Play Day 2:

AXIA 15, Weakest Link 2
Needing subs on the side to face AXIA, Weakest Link picked up an extra player knowing full well that the game would be considered a forfeit. AXIA came out as usual, passing and throwing as if they have done it from birth. Weakest Link played hard and most players played all positions on the field. The two teams had fun and mixed well as "Link" had AXIA join them in a group picture.

Team Ohio 7, Team Texas 6
These were two evenly matched teams. Play was back and forth and both goalies had strong performances. With 2 1/2 minutes left, Amelia Wood scored the tying goal. Ohio's Emily Hammelgarn decided the game with a mere 8 seconds left to play.

AXIA over Gotham Women's Lacrosse (no score provided)
AXIA dominated the game. AXIA players were very smooth and in control and demonstrated great team play. The Gotham goalie was pummeled but came up with a number of goal robbing saves.

Team Texas 11, Weakest Link 4
Team Texas came out strong in the first. Weakest Link played a good game, but could not mess with Texas in this game.

Last Call 8, Team Random 6
Team Random put up a fight with great scoring in the first. Last Call had the last say in the score with an 8-6 win.

Behind the Back 18, Colorado 4
Behind the Back's Kristin Burk scored five goals to lead her team to an 18-4 victory over Colorado. Steph Curnoles and Katie Burke each had three goals and goalie Steph Scheider had 10-plus saves. Colorado's Kat Geiger, Ali Craig, Julia VanBenthuyesen and Kristy Smith scored.

Adrenaline 10, Ripple 7
A great first half of action left Ripple and Adrenaline tied at four each. In the second half, Adrenaline's Whtney Lewis intercepted a pass to set up a scoring opportunity. Adrenaline's #33 had a beautiful backhand shot for a score.

Team Simeons 9, Behind the Back 6
Simeons drove from 5-2 down at the half to emphatically come up with a 9-6 win. Carrie Giancola made two critical saves near the end of the game to preserve the win.

Adrenaline 17, Colorado 1
Adrenaline's Suzanne Loeffler showed her agile moves early to get one by Colorado. It was all Adrenaline all day in this affair.

Team Harrow 7, Special Brew 2
Team Harrow demonstrated the breadth of their talent once again. Seven different scorers contributed to their 7-2 victory over Special Brew. Harrow's keeper was on fire with 14 saves stopping all of the potent Special Brew's major attempts on net.
