Statement-The team returns but the name keeps changing. We decided we weren't too Mad and so last year's Madlax team, formerly Team AOL, is ready to again reach for the title thanks to new sponsorship and returning players mixed in with new faces. Tournament veterans like Mark Grilo, Dave Deriso and Mike Talarico will provide Soprano-style leadership to a team that knows how to play and drink together. In Vail, "off-ball" movement is a must and veteran midfielders Erik Swain, Matt Peterson, Alex Brown, Pat Miller and Bob Feisee will try and keep up with new college-age teammates that will make their first Vail appearance. Our veteran defense is anchored with founding team members Will Pace, Dave Wodynski, and Zach Fischer and returning Vail veterans Brian Hahn and Josh Rachman. Some surprises will await our opponents on the field and we hope to again wow the assembled players with our 5th annual troll run during the tournament player mixer at 8150. Our motto: "Everyone is an All-Star in their own backyard." We consider Vail to be our adopted backyard and hope to shine on and off the field.
